A call from this invalid (spoofed) toll-free number arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space. This is typical of robocallers (illegal telemarketers) who use automated dialers to place calls and number spoofers to hide their tracks.The number is invalid on its face, as there is no such 153 prefix on toll-free or non-toll-free exchanges. Spoofers are often scammers who specialize in wallettechtomy -- surgical removal of the wallet. They're not getting mine, and they shouldn't get yours either. Refuse to answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. Let your answering machine do this for you and foil the scam artists.

Got a call from this number about 10 minutes ago, he asked for jose, I said speaking. He then said "oh wait you're jose jr, no problem nevermind" and hung up. I have the same name as my dad so I found this very odd. Will not be answering from this number again.

Even Ooma recognizes this number as "Home Construction Scam"

I answered expecting a call for a delivery. Said his name was Paul a contractor looking for work. I said no and hung up.

They are using Magic Jack on VoIP which allows them to spoof and robodial. Unfortunately it costs them nothing for you to call them, or even to waste their time if you talk to them. BUT, their account info and IP address cannot be hidden from federal investigators. Report these calls through official channels, it does make a difference!!

Construction scam, Trump is already waffling. He is not my savior. Enough with the blaming every president or praising as this isn't their problem. Contact the appropriate authorities, the pres isn't one. We have bigger issues, PUHLEEZ!
