I told them I was Agent Harris from the FBI following up on a complaint on fake IRS harassing schemes and that this number would be monitored.
Just had pre-recorded message left on vmail saying the same exact message. They didn't say they were from the IRS - but even so THE IRS WILL NEVER EVER CALL. They always send letters.
This is a scam. I received a call this morning leaving a voice mail based on what was stated below. IRS will not call you on the phone in this manner. Do NOT provide these scammers any of your information!

I just got a call but the caller ID came up as voicemail. And since I have reverse look up on my phone it came up as my own phone number. They left I message stating there is a hold on my tax returns same as everyone on here I see.
Same as other comments. Called it back, live person answered. Had correct last name not first name. I blocked my number when I called back.

I didn't recognize the number so I obviously was checking to see who it was
The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
