This is the 5th such call I have received today. The other numbers are 277 357 1613, 796 872 2829, 365 968 7228, 245 659 6872. All calls start out the same when I answered: silence, followed by a series of tones and then a voice with an accent (and there was a great deal of background noise) which sounded Indian started telling me I qualified for ____. Depending upon the call I qualified for and was pre approved of something but the bottom line was they wanted to loan me money.

So when you pick up and hear that little ‘beep…’ at the start, it’s usually a scam.
