I was awakened by a call came in to my cell phone at 5:30am; I did not answer it.
I received a cell phone call today from 909-374-9789 despite being registered with the Federal Do Not Call Registry. No message was left.
I also am getting these calls but they are using different numbers with almost each call so not sure that blocking the number will work unless you block them all. I keep filing compalints with DNC but they only file them as they have no real power. I agree that the best idea is to just hang them up before you answer if you do not recognize the number.
Another number being used by "Cardholder Services". Usual stuff -- recorded message indicating that they can lower credit card rate, press "1" to do that. Individual on line hangs up when one indicates that they should stop calling and/or that number is on do not call list.
The call came on my cell phone. I did not answer it because I did not recognize the number and we have been inundated with calls from Card Member Services. there was not message left, and when I Googled the number, indeed it was another credit consolidation company.
I agree I get them the same way - I've reported them at least 15 times to DO NOTHING FCC, when I finally got to the top guy at credit card services, I told him I was in law enforcement, he told me tuff shi-. I then told him I was notifying the Do Not Call. After he got done laughing he told me they won't do shi-. I then called my congressmen to see if he could get the FCC moving. Sorry to say another waste of time, maybe I'll run for congress and get rid of 2 useless pieces of pooh.(Not Winnie)
I am on the do not call list and do not own a credit card. When I tried to talk to a rep it rang till it hung me up. I have no clue who this company is but they are breaking the law just calling my cell phone that I have had the same number with for a 11 years. I have never had a credit card. They have no excuse!
I've been getting these calls on my land-line for some time. Usually from "Rachael" or some such from "Cardholder Services." They are a lot less frequent since I've started to press 1 to talk to a person, then just lay the phone down until it starts beeping the off-hook signal. They waste my time, I waste theirs.... Now I'm getting them on my cell, but if I don't recognize the number I just ignore the call.I fugure they are some ID theft scam.
