they've been calling my cell phone every morning for a few days now. i don't answer unrecognized numbers; they don't leave a message. my guess is it's an insurance company - i called the obummer marketplace for my boss and after that i started receiving numerous calls from insurance companies.
You have to call the dnc number every 3 years. You also have to call from the phone you want the number added. It gets to be a pain.
They will stop if you waste their time. Pretend to be interested. I wasted 30 min, they thought they had my credit card. Until I have a very obviously fake card.
They keep calling and also different numbers. I even had my own number call me. Yes like the others said. They use a different number. I called my company but they said to not answer and report it. Also true the DONT call thing is pointless
I have a call nearly every day from this number at my cell number, but I rarely answer my cell phone at home.The "Do Not Call" registry has worked for me for about 15 years. When I started it said to renew it every 10 years. I just went online recently and added my husband's new number and went ahead and updated mine. (It said it can take 30 days to become affective.) Political election committees and nonprofits can still call to solicit money and try to sway your vote. Of course non-legitimate businesses pay no attention to it, which explains why those are the types of calls that get through!If you do get a call, you can always tell them you are on the DNC registry, and they are obligated to remove your number from their calling list - a pretty quick way to tell if they are legitimate. I have had to do this once or twice over the years and got an apology and a promise to remove my number:)
Called twice today, could not understand a word he said except something about insurance. I told him that when he had mastered the English language, he could call back. In the mean time told him to F-OFF. Blocked the number on phone.
