CID: CHILDRENS CANCEGot a call at 9pm, 7/22/13 - didn't answer.

These people (I use the term loosely) called me six times in three days, all in the evening, and always hung up and said nothing -- whether I answered it or not. I called the number back and heard a "heartfelt" recording saying it was the "Children's Cancer Recovery" group. My research shows them listed as #11 on the list of Worst Charities in America. Oh, and of course all three times I called, the "mailbox was full." What vultures, to trade off sick children! There is a special circle in hell for telemarketers like this.

Called my home phone. Didn't answer. CID said Children's Cancer. Would never give money to a phone call solicitation.

Called 2/5/16 around 1:15 PM. Caller tried to sound like my best friend - "Hi you're harder to reach than the last pickle in the jar." A sure sign of a boiler room telemarketer. Soliciting donations to fight children's cancer. I said I don't send money to anyone who calls and that I'd research them to determine if they're legitimate or if as - I suspect - they're just another scam where 90% of the money goes to the solicitors. She started with some other blather and I said sternly DON'T CALL ME AGAIN. She said she'd put me on their do not call list. I'm not holding my breath.IMO, just another crook.

Received many calls from this number. Caller ID says Children's cancer, Caller leaves no message.

They have called every night, leaves no message. When you answer dead air.

CID said Children's Cancer Center. Called by no message left on machine. Strongly suspect telemarketing scam for donations.

same as previous post. donotcall.gov seems to work - call was cut off. I didn't pick up.

2/22/13 Talk to a live person from Children's Cancer asking for donation. Told them I'm in the do not call list and she was graciously hang up.

I don't know whether this is legit or a scam, but charities are exempt from the Do Not Call list.
