It's a FRAUDULENT/SCAM caller

11/18/19 Call from "Kevin" stating he wanted to close out my business!! WHAT I'm not closing. He wanted me to state my name, company address and ID number before continuing with the call info. I had that happen years ago when a company recorded my answers then order $1200 of stuff with the revised recording!! "Kevin" said we have talked before about this "issue" before, but guess I blew him off then. I refused to give him anything and he said he would write a letter and it would arrive in several weeks. Guess it's not that important. I haven't heard a word from the FTB and if there was an issue, believe me they would be writing letters like crazy. Tried to call the number back and get a 403 Verizon message that the call can't be completed!! SCAM people even though the caller ID states "ST OF CA FTB". Don't give "Kevin" any info.

FTB call , Not going through when I called back. It is most likely a SCAM attempt. her name was ANUP, , i did mistake and gave her my name SSN full and address. now i am freaking out. 100% SCAM number.

I have been getting phone calls from this phone and they left messages saying that they are from the FTB. I called back and the call does not go through. I also received a letter supposedly from the Franchise Tax Board saying that my company, which is out-of-state and does not do business in California has to do the Tax Return of 2017. The letter is very suspicious. My company has been assigned a number to which my accountant said that is kind of strange because you the company has to be registered in California, does not give you the reasons why my company has to do the return and it does not tell you what form. I called about a month ago and FTB said this number and the other ones that called me are not FTB's. You should call the FTB and verify with them. Then report it to a department they have.

Man with heavy accent claims to be from Franchise Tax Board He left message regarding “ a letter I wrote to them ( I did not write a letter to them) Did not return call as Franchse Tax Board should send communication in writing.

Fake Franchise Taxboard scam!!! Trying to get sensitive information from me & got nerdy when I said I wouldn’t disclose over the phone & to send me correspondence via mail.

Received call from this number that went to voice mail. If FTB wants to contact me they correspond through the mail. I will not give personal info like Social Security number. It's a scam. Be careful of these type of calls.

Just received a call. I had JUST talked to the FTB about 15 min earlier......I DID give the last 4 of my SSN now I'm freaking out. he then said I need your whole SSN and I said no and that I had just gotten off the phone with the FTB. So worried I just got scammed!!!!

There is a man who claims to be with the Tax Board...he leaves threatening messages. I'm sick of his annoying calls!
