I have a contact on my iPhone called "scam" that these numbers go into. When I had AT&T, I set it not to ring. Now with Verizon, I can block the contact. It works great!

Received a call this morning and number indicated Raleigh, NC. Did not answer as did not recognize number. They did not leave a voice message which is no surprise. After reading prior comments, have blocked this caller.
Hello Debbie,I received a call from this number also. I called it back twice from a prepaid (in cash) unregistered cell phone. I got the same message tiwce "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. Your call could not be completed a dialed. Please check the number and dial again." Another all-expense-paid trip for this number to "Block CIty".
If you have upgraded to the newest operating system on your iphone, you can now block any number. Go to recent callers list, click on the info button on the right, and the scroll to the bottom of the page and click block caller. Works great!!

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
