Another one I got is to just answer the phone "_______ County Sheriff's Dept."! I did this a few times for some survey/telemarketing "fact finders" BOY did I have FUN!!!

Please stop calling me ! They leave no message !

If you have "block caller" function on ur phone...use it! Otherwise, just ignore them. Thats what I do. I filed bankruptcy not long ago. I don't owe nothing to nobody!

This company keeps calling me weekly asking for my husband. When I call back the number 1-920-321-0810 I get an automated message that says "thank for for holding we all our tellers are busy we will be with you shortly." Who the heck they are I don't know. When I call back on my home phone that they continously call I get the automated service and often hung up on. When I called back on my cell phone, a number they didn't have I get through to a real person. This lady said they were calling about a person that had my sons name. I am very suspicious about how they got my son's name and phone number. I will now do a credit check on my very young son. I would be very leary of this agency that is not up front about why they are calling!!!!BE CAREFUL.

I recieve calls from this number almost daily since getting my new phone number. I have explained numerous times that I am not the person they are looking for. Upon me saying that the guy on the line stated I should know the owner and have them call if I want the calls to my number stopped. That honestly took me by suprise so I asked for the name of the company and I was told CMC. I asked what did the acronym stand for and I was told unless I provide all of my personal information I would not be told that. I then again stated I am not the person they are looking for and requested the guy quit calling. I heard him laugh out loud and say no.

Sounds like you work for them as well. I understand people dodge bills all the time however it should not be on my head to stop the calling. They are looking for Mr/Ms X. I am not blaming the guy that created the debt for this. That is neither her nor there. I am blaming the company constantly calling me.

After reading all these notes from people, I've been thinking that these people are either not legitimate or they are not following the scope of the law from numerous tactics. If trying to get through to the company (which apparently isn't working for anyone) and notifying the FTC, I would strongly suggest getting in touch with your State Representative and State Senators. Let them know of the issue, and ask them what to do about it and what they can do to help stop this kind of thing.

I finally got a company name from the one [***], he told me CMC is the name of their company, but couldn't provide any information as to what they do. They sound like a bunch of teenagers, and they're ignorant as hell. Not to mention they have zero information as to why they've been calling.

My number was given out as a contact number and not by me. I called the number back and they won't be calling me anymore.

Don't bet on it! If they don't you're lucky! They call most people multiple times.
