They keep calling even though on do no call list. It seems AT&T has given them the number. Time to do away with land line or switch to Comcast or Vonage.
at least daily they call. finay olast night i answered, waited 3 seconds, ten hung up.I am on the Do Not Call registry both state and federal.
Okay everyone settle down. I currently work for Etech Inc, and I can say that we are a legitimate business. If you have been a customer for AT&T or any service that we call on behalf of, then your DNC claim is not going to hold water. Best way for Etech Inc not to call you is this:1. Answer your phone2. Ask to speak to a representative in the United States (if the accent is Indian).3. Ask to speak with a supervisor or manager.4. Ask that manager to kindly put your name and number on Etech's DNC list. Once that is done it usually takes about 1-2 weeks for it cycle through. After that, you shouldn't get a call from Etech Inc.
Daily a voice-mail 'message' is left that is music that goes on for several minutes before I can reach the end of the message to delete it from my mailbox.
I've been receiving calls from ETech to my business line, but they usually call around 8:30pm - after hours, and the ringer on the phone is turned off. They called again today just a few minutes ago. The woman I spoke with had a thick accent, but I was able to understand her just fine. She said she was from Etech, calling on behalf of AT&T, knew my name, etc. She said she showed that I wasn't currently "taking advantage of their fast ADSL service" - funny thing is, I do have AT&T DSL.. told her that, she apologized and said something about not showing on her system, blah blah blah.. I asked her to take me off her list, she gave me the normal 30-days spiel before it's actually removed, etc. Just to be sure, I spoke to an AT&T rep and she confirmed that they do solicit Etech to contact their customers, just as the Etech reps above have stated.
I get several calls from this # everyday starting last week. Sometimes they call before 8am and after 8pm. I never answer it and they never leave a message.
etech isnt in houston, theres four locations in america all in texas, rusk, nacogdoches, pasadena, and lufkin, the workers there are everyday college student, who do and tell you waht theyre managers tell them to do which has att telling them what to do and say, people say get a real job, i gaurantee telesales is more stressfull than your jobs are, i seriously doubt 90% of the people complaining wouldnt last a month in these agenet/reps seats.
