Phone rang, no message left. My phone is unlisted ????? This phone number is now blocked from my phone system. It will never again ring from this number.
This company calls me every few months trying to get me to upgrade my DSL service with AT&T. Apparently, AT&T outsourced them to do this type of soliciting. I have asked them to stop calling. I have complained to AT&T as well. They lie - they told me I either had to upgrade or discontinue my service because what I had was going away. I did it because I felt I had no choice. I later called AT&T and they said that was not true. They offered the next level of service for $10 off per month for 6 months and then I had to pay regular price or go back to my old service. They started calling again a few months ago. I answered a few times and told them to stop calling me that I was happy with my service and if I wanted a change, I would call AT&T. Again, they LIED and said it was a free upgrade and that I wouldn't have to pay any more per month. I asked several times to confirm and they said it was true. I finally said "ok, whatever." I immediately called AT&T and they said "no, there IS a fee." I am fed up with this company!!! I want them to STOP CALLING ME!!!
i emailed AT&T about this. "sean miller" said he was calling from AT&T (even though i informed him it was Etech Inc on my caller ID) and wanted me to agree to stuff. i never did. he told me i would receive over 20 calling services and a 5$ credit for my dsl. he asked me to confirm my name, the amount i paid on my last bill, and that i had bundled services. i said nothing. i don't know what kind of scam this could be, but this is ridiculous!! how are they getting our information?? i'm on every do not call list you can think of.
I called this number back and got some bogus computer generated bullcrap about services provided. I pushed on as a BellSouth customer of which I am not. I could not ever get to a person, leave my name and number and a good time for them to call me back...NEVER! I just hung up and posted here. We lived in SC for years and never had harassing calls. I think I should have our number made private, it was in SC...?
I did the same this afternoon, but I informed them that my number was on the US DNC list and that I was not an AT&T customer. I then sent a letter to AT&T regarding ETech, that I was not an AT&A customer, but if I were, I would terminate the relationship; that my number was on the DNC; that if I received further calls on AT&T's behalf, I would file a complaint with the FTC and the Virginia small claims court. I don't know if this is the correct e-mail, but the address on AT&T's privacy website is privacypolicy@ATT.com. Maybe if enough people write AT&T, they will realize that this is not the best marketing approach. If you are an AT&t/Bellsouth customer, I recommend that you check their privacy policy.
I am sorry I have been so grumpy. Please give me your telephone number, and I will call every day for six months to apologize.
Company called me telemarketing promotions for XM Radio. Asked them to stop calling, however the company informed me they would call back later. I am currently on the National Do Not Call Registry.I called the company's 800 number and waited about 7 minutes or so to be transferred to a live person, asked them to remove me from my list, took down my number, and it was done. Informed me it would be 24-48 hours before it would be removed. Simple!
