Same thing here-- I have filed 2 compaints now with the do not call registry. I suggest everyone else do the same so we can get the DNC people to pay attention and fix this.

i called my service provider-- ATT-- they said, dont answer phone call. Immediately press *57. That will alert the AT&T people to put in a report of harrassing calls. Then follow up by calling them at 1-888-966-6222. They will start an investigation.So, a little bit of work, but maybe it will help!If you don't have ATT, call your service provider and ask how to block specific phone calls.Make sure to tell them that the "normal route" does not work.... for instance I already have "call block" on my phone for all telemarketing.....

These people are calling me at least 2 times a nightafter 9:30 P.M. --- After I am already asleep!!!They say they are not bound by the "Do Not Call"policy since they are not in my state!!!My phone number is not listed either!!! Theyare calling me every 30 minutes, too!!!This is criminal as far as I'm concerned andI will do something about it....I don't care howlong it takes. Phone records and logs willdo the trick as I will sue them for harrassment!

I have been receiving calls from Scarborough research for weeks. They are VERY rude. The calls amount to harassment. They refuse to stop calling - smugly smart alecky, answering in this way: "I don't have to honor the do not call list. We're not bound by it. We're going to keep calling you." How can these callers be so unethical? I am filing a complaint with my state BBB and with the FCC if possible.

I appreciate the other posts very much so as to understand what these fools are up to. These people just keep calling and calling at least once every day and I do not pick up -- ever. Thank the gods for caller-id. Tonight they called after 9:30 pm yet again. Sent me a dollar a few weeks ago. I have decided to ditch my landline and get a voip phone instead.

What about calls from market research or polling firms?Calls from organizations conducting market research, surveys, or public opinion polls are also exempt from the National Do Not Call List Rules and are not required to keep an internal do not call list. These types of calls are not telemarketing calls because the caller is not asking you to purchase, lease or rent products or services.From the National Do Not Call website.

We get this no. calling at different times,and they hang up,they called and left one on the answering mch. with someone smacking chips until it cut off,this is not right,they are sorry pieces of crap,and cocky,and it's a wonder some doesn't do something,they may think it's cute,but this is harrasment at it's worst,anytime they want to entertain themselves at our expenses,DO something,this is getting out of hand..I am on Do Not Call List,must not be working...

After seeing this number on my landline's caller ID for several days in a row, I finally picked up the call last night at 9:30PM EST - I asked the caller if he realized what time it was. He said they could call up to 10PM. I told him the only time someone should call that late is if it's a family member having an emergency. When I asked him to place my number on their Do Not Call list, he said they didn't have one. Yeah, right. I don't care what kind of company it is, if someone asks you to remove their name from the list, you do it. From what he told me, they use a random dialer. I said if that was the case and they cannot remove my number from the list, then put an alert on my number to prevent the dialer from "randomly" calling my house at all hours of the day and night.
