I received 5 calls on yesterday from a 946 area code and received 2 today. How can this call be blocked?

I received a phone call from this number stating they were calling from Microsoft technical support. They said they were receiving error messages from my computer that a hacker was trying to get in. So they were advising me on what to do and we came to a point where he asked to check off a few things and clear them and I became weary. So i ended the call and proceeded to call Microsoft Windows Support directly. I spoke to someone that stated Microsoft never initiates calls it was a hacker trying to get ahold of the computer ask for payment and when denied shut your computer down. They called back several times after I asked them not too. They also called from phone number 302-231-1288. The 946 # shows a John Berryman.

Two similar calls, first with no number on the caller ID, second with this number. Indian-sounding voice calling "about my computer" and a problem with windows. I didn't stay on the line long enough to find out what they were trying to get out of me.

If you talk to them long enough, they run you into the pc event logger and show you some errors/warnings (what pc has no errors?). They asked me to delete them (log entries mind you) because each one is a virus. Of course that makes no sense. They then offered to take control of my PC remotely an fix it all up. Very nice helpful guy. I decided that wasn't a good idea. ;-)

This call was from a guy who said his name was Allan- also Indian sounding. He told me he was my lover at which point I told him where he could go. I am not sure why his calling method has changed from earlier posts indicating his job is to help fix computers to this but this is truly unacceptable and needs to be investigated! Why is something not being done about these morons?

An Indian voice tells me that they are from the Windows Team and there is something wrong with my computer and the Windows program. They hung up as soon as I said, Ok, explain it to me. I called back and it was a number that was not connected. It originated in Rathajan India.

I just had the same caller and I wouldn't give him any personal information, nor would I go through the steps he was asking me to on my computer to "help" me fix my Trojan virus. When I asked him for a number to call him back on he told me he was in Delaware and gave me a bogus number. Scary that there are people out there like this.

Got the same call 5 times today. Was only able to talk to the person once. Said I had virus also and when I questioned him he became nervous. He hung up when I said that I know he's full of s*#t and that this is a scam. Got a call 1 minute later from the same number but no one was there.Gutsy.

Same call 4 times in a row in less than 30 minutes. Need to figure out how to call-block...

Call stating that they are going to fix problem with my Windows program. I say don't have Windows on my computer, & it's an immediate hangup.
