Do they scam if you don't give them any information??

After listening to recorded message, pressed 1 to get 'live operator'. Asked operator what phone number they were calling from. Refused to answer. Told me he would be just as stubborn as I was if I refused to give him my name. I hung up. He did not. He remained on the phone for some time after I hung up and I could not use my phone.Reported number I got doing a *69 but it apparently, judging from other posters, not a valid number.

Just got a call from 954-889-6222. First it showed up sa "Unknown" then a recorded message said somthing about credit cards. I waited till it told me to press 9 to remove from list. An hour later another call from the same number but this time it showed up as Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I jut ignored the call.

Available information suggests that the source of these calls is a telemarketing company in Montreal, Canada. Card Services and Account Services are two of the know names for this company. It uses internet technology (VOIP) to make the calls look like they come from numerous locations, including calls forwarded through Florida. Knowing who is calling is only half the battle. U.S. law enforcement agencies don't have jurisdiction in Canada and Canadian officials say that they can't do anything because there are no reported victims in Canada. There is an international taskforce called "Phone Busters" that is supposed to work with this type of problem, but U.S. issued subpoenas orcourt orders are not enforcable in another country. They are working on the problem but there still are some real problems, like Canada being a soverign country and not part of the U.S.

Got a call from this number, I answered but they didn't respond, I hope they dont call back it sounds like they are a scam!

DANG - THEY GOT ME AGAIN. GOT THE CALL AT WORK ON MY CELL AND DIDN'T CHECK BEFORE I ANSWERED. "HELLO?" "HELLO?" AS I WAS HANGING UP I DID HEAR SOMEONE CLICKING ONTO THE CALL. FOUND THE # LISTED HERE....I REMEMBER GETTING SUCH A CALL MONTHS AGO! I HATE THESE PEOPLE!!!

I recieved a call from this number +9544249037 at 7:45pm Michigan time, I was on the phone with my dad at the time and did not answer, I hit the ignore button like I do for every phone number I don't know. They did not leave a message.

Called at 6:22pm Central time. I didnt recognize the number so I dont answer. Did a google of this number and came here, and read your responses. Funny thing is......I dont own a bloody credit card, roflmao!!!
