Possible credit card call

"Account services" lower your credit card interest rate.Possible CC fraud attempt

I got a call from them during school, when i did a search for it i found it was from FL. So i don't know who it is

Just got a call from this number and says it is disconnect when I call back. Sounds like one of the CC scammers I have encountered before.

THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING REGARDING LOWERING CREDIT CARD BILLS. YOU CANNOT TALK TO A LIVE PERSON

I rec'd a call 5/6/2008 at 11:39 am with a female recording about lowering interest rates on credit card and this would be my last notice. I was to press 1 if I wished to speak to a live operator (what other kind is there? Dead?); If I wished to have my number removed to press 2.I opted for 1 and after 2-3 rings, RICHARD came on the line and inquired if I was responding to a lower credit card interest rate. I told him I was (although I really wasn't, as I wanted to find out why these people are violating the Federal DO NOT CALL list). I told him I didn't catch the name of his company and asked him what it was --- he said it was CARD SERVICES.When I asked him where his company was located,I didn't get an answer although I repeatedly said 'Hello." After about ten such "Hello's" I assumed he hung up his phone and so did I.

From this number an automated message is left on the answering machine that says it is very important that I call back to learn how I can lower my credit card interest rate. I am on the DNC registry.The upsetting thing is I have a Tele-Zapper which blocks all computer generated calls!(?) I think the majority of these harassing phone numbers noted here on 800notes.com are either hand dialed or using an autodialer that ignores the computer greeting tone.

Oh they are busy aren't they? I just recieved the exact type call as you Gary, with the same results. We suspected a scam call so started looking for a listing for this number. No name or address comes up for this phone number, but it was from Plantation Florida.

The famous "Heather from Account Services."SCAM! Probable phishing attempt, Do NOT give them any info. If you really need a lower credit card rate, call the number on the back of your credit card, and ask them for a cheaper rate. Really. It's that simple.

Just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I too am on the do not call list. When I answered, there was a recording. I hung up. Seems they are busy making auto-calls today. GRRRRR
