Don't look to the Feds to help. They have so many layers of bureaucratic mumbo jumbo a person has to jump through that Turgenev's novel Dead Souls reads like a nursery tale. Yes, Bureaucratic b.s. is live and well in the United States!!!!!!!!
Apparently the scammers don't like to be scammed.I've been calling these lowlife cork soakers back whenever I had some free time and wanted to have a little fun by pretending to be interested in their phony scheme, just to see how much of THEIR time I could waste.Kept one of the morons going for almost 15 minutes by pretending to be a befuddled Senior Citizen, which I believe is their target group,as they mainly seem to call during the day when most people are at work.Whenever I did this I would block my number (*67) so they could not get it if they had Caller ID.Well, I guess a lot of people must have been doing something similar, because when I tried it with this number, I got a recording saying they could not determine the number I was calling from and to call back with any caller id blocking disabled and then was disconnected.Yeah,right.Scumbags don't want you to know who they are,but sure want to know who we are.So be aware,if you call any of these vermin back, they do have Caller ID, so take the appropriate precautions.Oh well, fun's over for now,but my trusty whistle is now right by the phone. If they ever call when I'm home,I'll be looking forward to ruining some criminal scumbucket's hearing!
Hi TT.. They should be reported to both the FTC, the FCC (thanks for that info as I wasn't aware that Caller ID spoofing was ALSO a crime) and the Florida Attorney General's Office. I just posted lots of information about the company to use in any complaint. The more complaints these agencies receive, the more likely and the faster they will respond.
These people have been calling about 2x a week for over 6 months. Using their phone NO#.I have called and been directed to punch in No# 1 from the phone keypad to be dropped from theircall list. It does not work. The calls keep coming. I tried talking to one of the phone people (makingthe calls ) directly on 6/15/2012 @ 12:18 pm and stated that I wished to be dropped from receiving any more calls or I would seek court relief. I was yelled at and told to go F""""k myself. Trying their phone No# again only got me to their message about punching 1 to be dropped, which has not worked in the past. Who knows if it will this time? The company was never id'd and reverse call lookup would only give the No#, the phone carrier, and the geographic location of Gresham OR. . The intent of the call was to sign me up for help in credit card debt, providing I had at least $3000indebt to credit card companies. I do not know if they wanted to gather credit card No#s from me fortheir own usage but I reallty doubt the validity of their call ,their company and their intentions
Didn't answer as we get lots of scam calls lately.. TECLO is all caller ID said. Looking back I see reports here since last November.. think anybody has brought these clowns down? Not bloody likely.
Numerous calls from this number to reduce rates. Once you go to rep and ask to be taken off list they hang up. Why is this number still active. See numerous comments from this year and last and still going strong despite being on no call lists. Our tax dollars at work.
This was a recorded call telling me that this is the last time I would be contacted about this credit card(was not names) to transfer any balance under $3,000.00. No clue as to the company name. Am sure this is a scam and all these bozos are out in full force.
FedUp, Nicky and Dempsey - If you want the calls to stop, then you must take action. See my post above about reporting them to the FCC, FTC and the Florida Atty General. I provide information about who they are and where they are located in the post above. I also provide links where you can file your complaint. It is illegal to send invalid caller ID. It is illegal to call people on the Federal Do Not Call Registry. However, if no one (or not enough people) complains, then nothing will change.Read the post above and report them to the authorities!
