I got a call from this number. Some [***] telling me he got an error message saying my computer had a virus. He wanted to fix it for me so I went along. He gave me the address and told me to log in to his site so he could fix it. After pretending to log in, he asked me what I saw on my screen. I told him I saw a picture of a bunch of cowboys sitting down to eat a roasted pig and a side of beef. I told him seeing that picture was making me hungry. He said I logged in to the wrong site. He gave me the address and said try logging in again. I thought - okay, I'll have some more fun with this idiot. I told him he was right, I was in the wrong site before, but now I'm in the right one. He asked what did I see. I told him I saw the inside of a C-130 cargo aircraft with a crew getting ready to shove out what looked like at least 100 crates filled with pigs. I told him he had better get out of the way before one of those crates fell through the roof and right on top of him. He didn't want to play any longer - he hung up on me - RUDE [***] CAMEL JOCK. Well, at least I wasted about 20 minutes of his time. Hope he calls back again. I want to tell him his mama is here eating a big old roasted hog with us, but don't tell his daddy.
Been calling me approximatley every 2-5 mins for the last 2 hours. Doing my head in. Most of the time they just hang up but once or twice there was an Indian sounding guy claiming to be from yellow pages. He wanted our credit card number and mother's maiden name to confirm our account due to a 'security flaw'. Its a scam, don't give them any info.
I have in the last 2 weeks been contacted by this same guy of a singles sight called horse and country with exactly the same story . He says his wife was killed in a auto accident. So he is still going. I was very suspicious when he quickly left the site. When he made contact. He also never responds 2 e-mail just chat on yahoo messenger.
They called and hung up...I tried to call this number back and it turned out to be a bogus number...didn't exist.
Caller identified self as from Yellow Book, with the walking fingers out of New Jersey. Very hevily accented voice. Wanted to verify business information to ensure our rep recorded the correct information for our phone book listing. Wanted to charge us $499.xx for a two year deal. Asked if was for online listing, denied it was. Asked him what our Yellow Book acct # was, did not have the info. Asked him what our reps name was, did not have info. Asked for his name, replied Eric. Told me if I wanted to verify info could talk to customer service and number would be provided at the end of the call. Told him I wanted the number now, twice. He hung up on me.
