I got called from this number a few times. Since I don't recognize it, I don't pick up. I called the number using a voip phone and that number doesn't exist. I also noticed that it is 0123456789 reversed after dialing the number. I think that it is some scam since they are faking the outgoing caller ID.
I did the same thing :)))) After 15 min of hahaha behind the phone i told him to f... off and he got mad :)))))
987-654-3210 represented themselves as Verizon, wanted to know how many lines are servicing my company. Gave me a Cox phone system fax number, did not want me emailing the information, very suspicious, so did not comply with any requests.
Call - Immediate Hang-Up when the receptionist answered w/ Good Morning, and(Corporate Name) .. immediate hang-up!!!
Call was tried on various numbers at home, sequentialy. Oct 28Someone is using a tel directory.I believe the area code 987 is Cozumel, MexicoI think this may be an attempt to induce people to call back and this number is connected to a 900 line where they charge you $10/min or something like that. Best to check with www.scumbusters.org - they have a library of scams involving telephone callers.
Got 6 calls from them today within 2 hr period.....I didnt answer the first 5 times. on the 6th time I answered and all I heard was static and they hung up..they didnt say a word.
Like some of the other posters here, our business has been getting 2 calls a day on each of our 4 lines in succession and has been going on for over a week. They keep asking for the person in charge of the AT&T account. Told them we were not interested and to stop calling us on every line they've called on and have been hung up on every time. Today I decided to tell them that we don't have AT&T phone lines and the woman sounded annoyed and gave me a sarcastic thank you. They did not call any of our other lines. Hopefully that's the end of it.
