received this stating it was verizon win back group- was insulted by them when I asked for phone number and name...

Seems to call everyday. Wont say anything and hangs up.

Got a call from this lady and said she was w/verizon and can maybe help lower our cost..I put her in my CFO's voicemail for him to delete it.

I received a call from this number saying they were with Verizon, but calling because we are a Comcast customer and wanted our business. I told him we weren't Comcast customers. He proceed to change it to Cox... basically trying to guess our internet and telephone provider. I asked him not to call back, he said "Oh, I will" and hung up. How creepy.

This number called me. I picked up no one there. I think this is a spam call. Watch out!

I just received a text from my son and in the call back number field was this number... contacting the cell phone carrier for more info on this one.How the heck did they get this?

This # calls at least 7 times a week on the business line. Most of the time they hang up before I can answer or when I answer. Today, they asked for the person that handles the AT&T phone account. Asked if I could take a message............no, it's a courtesy call and we will call back. I don't think so...........................SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of all the telemarketing/spam/BS calls we receive at work.

This guy tries to call me a couple times a week and I have never answered the phone but he would leave voice mails & it's mostly a bunch of static & sometimes I can vaguely hear a mans voice but can't make out what he is saying. One time he left a voice mail over 5 minutes long with nothing but static and him saying something at the end & then he hangs up. From what I read about this number it's a scam and 987 is a made up area code so just block the number from your phone that's what I'm going to do. I tried calling the dude back & all it said was "the number you have dialed is incorrect" & that's not possible because I clicked on that number that called & didn't type in a single number so I know there's something wrong there. Sorry to hear a lot of people have been almost fooled by this guy.

Have been contacted by this number 4 consectutive days, saying they are with Century Link.. they want to make us aware of rate hike.... Hangs up when I asked his name, or when I try to give him owners name!

got this call today (feb25, 2009); heard something (voices?) but no response.weird, google'd it, found these posts.ah well...
