Robo call, said: "Hi this is Diane..." and then went on to tell about carpet cleaning specials. I decided to go ahead to listen to their spiel and try to find out who is behind these illegal marketing calls. I am on the Do Not Call List and have been for a long time, but they keep calling. So GET THIS! When a live person answered, saying "Carpet Masters," I said "Hello" and they hung up on me! What kind of business (that is actually a real business) would hire people to make sales calls to drum up business, and then hang up on them when they actually think they have a customer? So I called back and got a recording that says "If you would like to be placed on a Do Not Call List, press one." So, first you have representatives that hang up on prospective callers, and then you have a phone number that has no way to reach your company. Sounds kind of fishy, right?Also important to note: Political calls and surveys do not need to respect the Do Not Call list. The caller ID showed "Survey" to make me believe they had the right to call, but then the message was clearly a marketing call. And then, of course, they hung up on me so apparently didn't want my business. What gives??? So I would put this in the Illegal Fake Marketing Scam Caller if there was such a category.
So glad i'm in good company. Yeah i couldn't believe it actually identified itself as "Illegal scam". Maybe they figure if someone answers knowing that, that they're totallyyyyyy fair game! Yaay for irony!
9/20/16 Rec'd call with CID saying "Survey". When I answered it was a carpet cleaning pitch - a fraud. Why would a Michigan company call Washington state to solicit carpet cleaning? Dumb.Hung up.
I love truth in advertising! It came up on the caller ID as "ILLEGAL SCAM"! Needless to say, I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.
Missed call from this number - caller ID said Birch Bay, MI. Don't know anyone there.
Came across my caller ID as "Survey" as well. I assumed it was political. Picked it up and it was good old Diane the carpet cleaning company. Sure wish the Feds would shut them down permanently.
Just received a call from this number. Caller ID said "Illegal Scam". I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. They didn't leave a message.
