These people want to refinance everybody's mortgage.

SCAM. Calling to warn you that they are filing criminal activity against you because you have committed fraud with your SSN. LIES. This country needs to start arresting these people and their employees.

Unknown numbers are sent straight to voicemail and they did not leave a message.

We always let calls from unknown numbers go to voice mail. When they do not leave messages, we assume it is a scam/spam call.

Threat call presumed to be scam as this is not how collections are done. Official notifications from law enforcement and government agencies will send mail (certified) and or serving agent. Scam suspicion

They left message saying they were social security administration I know if social security needs to get in touch with me they will send letter so I didnt call it back thinking it may be a scam so not sure

Caller asks for "Mark" (which happens to be what con men call their victims - a 'mark') and when told there is no "Mark", they launch into a sales pitch with, "Well, maybe you can help me..."

They claim my social security number has been involved with fraudulent activities and that I should call them before “illegal crossings” begin.
