Same beginning but I didn't give that much time before I hung up

I get several calls a week from some jirk telling me that there is problem with the security on my desktop. I wish stop these calls !!!

I just got a call this morning at 11:00 Central Time (Manitoba, CAN) he said "Hi my name is (he said my fathers name) I am from Windows and your computer downloaded malicious software. Can you start up your computer now?" His english was horrible and the number is soo fake that its funny. But right after I hung up he called right back I just picked it up then hung up right away. Hopefully they don't call back when my younger siblings are home

this number just called me. Told me I had a corrupted file on my computer. I told him that was impossible (I do actually know a thing or two about computers). He yelled at me and said there was a corrupted file and he could show me. I told him he was rude and I hung up. He called back. Said we some how got disconnected. I told him no, I hung up on him only he was talking over me - wouldn't let me get a word in. I said, "excuse me, i was talking". Told him he was rude and a liar and that was why I hung up on him. I said bye and hung up again and now he hasn't called anymore. WOW he was rude!!! He didn't say which company he was from - his accent sounded like it was from India.

I had a message left saying I had a virus in my computer also. I deleted as fast I heard it.lol

This number called me today. He had an Indian accent and told me that my "Windows Computer" Had downloaded malicious software. He told me to start it up and i said, " Oh thats weird.." He asked what. I said "I own an apple." He said he could give me more tech support but i just hung up.

I really had an apple, lol

This call came about 8 pm SPTCallers name is AnnyRepresents company PC helpShe can't answer question about source of information about my computer. She insisted that my computer is "infected".She hang up when I wanted to know more info about company she represents.

Didn't bother to answer because I recognize a spoofed number when I see it. I was getting 2-3 calls a day from these scammers claiming to be from PC care (does anyone need to be told to never give any information to these guys? Especially if you actually have a Windows computer?) so I got call display and now ignore all calls of this nature and I find my stress level has dropped. Word of advice - don't even engage these people in conversation. It's not worth the risk. Unfortunately they're based in India or Pakistan so the US and Canadian do not call lists and reporting structures are utterly useless. Pay a few bucks and get a phone with call display, and either sign up for voicemail or buy an answering machine for 20 bucks. If the call is legitimate they'll leave a message.
