I have these all over my At&t bill from last year and its from my soon to be ex husband sending texts to people on Craigslist when he was trolling from sex. Everytime a new conversation is started it would go up one number (141.010.0001 to 141.010.0002) . He had an iPhone so not sure if that had some thing to do with the weird numbers
What I got was the following:FRM: WescomMSG: We have detected irregular activity from your Wescom debit card. Call customer support now 7139978106.First off , though when my mom was dying, she put my name on her Wescom credit union account because she was leaving me money, but my sister, who was supposed to be in charge of the account, got into it and stole half of the money. Long story. No will, no proof, nothing; her shopping mania was more important than my welfare. But I have never had a debit card with Wescom. When I saw this, I knew it was a scam, so I didn't bother responding. How do people get your number? Computers. They hack into phone registries, etc. and steal your number, even if it's unlisted or on the DNC registry. And they know DNC is overloaded with complaints, and underfunded as well as understaffed. Hence, their seeming inability to help.I wonder if responding with that number, even though I got the text a week or so ago, will do anything?
