Jack - I really appreciate all of your info. But you've got one part wrong. This IS NOT random. These people called my cell phone and my work phone almost back to back, and there are a few other posts here where the same has occurred. They clearly have some type of calling list, because there's no way that's random or coincidence. I work for a government agency with an unpublished phone number. They got my phone numbers off some paperwork I've done sometime in the recent past. I'm pissed.
My Thanks to Jack for keeping me from wasting my time. I didn't catch the call, but I looked it up here. I skipped to the last page(10) and read Jacks entry, no need to look further.
Here's something that works well for me....I just got a call from this number. I did not answer, and as soon as the call was disconnected, I added the number to the contacts in my cell phone as "Telemarketer 13" (the next one will be Telemarketer 14, etc), and saved it into my contacts, and checked the "all calls directly to voice mail" box. I will never hear from them again, or even know it if they call again. Works great.
this is not the first call I've received from this number on my cell, I'm on the last leg of my life, where's help to end this harassment?, and what cell provider is giving them #'s?????
These .gov sites are now down because of a federal government shut down. Yet the call claims to be somehow linked with the FBI and comes from Washington?? What a joke this federal government with all their fabulous services for Americans. Let's leave them shut down for a while!
