It seems to me there would be a law against these "telemarketers" (or whoever they are) calling people on Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM or at dinner time or after 9:00PM - There used to be a way to block these "numbskulls" from calling if you don't know who they are or don't wish to talk to them.

They keep calling from this number and several others. I have no idea what they want since I refuse to answer calls that do not identify themselves or leave messages. If they are, indeed, debit collectors, they are calling the wrong number since I have no debt - at all.

April 14 2015 8:35 A.M. No message.Portfolio Recovery can't be stopped. Only ignored. They call me every day from new States to collect a debt from a dead man. A dead man I've proven to proper people is in fact dead, and they still call. That list of numbers above me is massive, that's about how many I've blocked as well and yet they still call. It has to be against some law's you'd think.

Also the "DEBT" they're trying to collect never existed to begin with. Its from 2004 compliments of "Dish Network" canceling service three months early because they were told we would be moving in three months. They shut off service immediately and sent it to collections immediately. When they had the original deposit and we all went without said service for three months. How is that debt when it was paid up until the day they shut it off and eight years out of contract??? Its not a debt. Also seems like some Stature of limitations has long since passed but what do I know? Apparently nothing. These people are bottom feeders who prey on the elderly. I'm not elderly, not even close. To put a bow on it, never EVER cancel a service until your actually gone and just pay what they say if you want to avoid collection attempts Ten plus years later.

As far as I was told, they sell your account before the statue of limitations to another collector and the process starts all over again.

I have had this number about 5 years and they are still calling for the deadbeat that had this number prior to me getting it.

Yep. Another one of their spoofed Caller ID numbers trying to contact me regarding a non-existent "debt" with a company I never even heard of.
