I agree with everyone here. I'm a college student and I don't even pay for my own medical bills and I haven't even been to a doctor or anything in a long time for my parents to have outstanding bills. HOWEVER this whole voicemail thing is getting really annoying. If anyone finds a way to get off the calling list, let me know!!
Keeps call and will not leave message about why they are calling just that someone here needs to get in touch with them. Harrassing calls. Should be included on the do not call list
just a little note from a previous employee of The Credit Bureau of Bessemer. They do collection billing for vet bills, medical bills, tire and battery companies, pest control services, alarm systems, and various other companies as well as doctor and radiology bills. The Victor is a pre-recorded message called an automatic dialer. The computer automatically dials your number and if all the representatives on that dialer are busy, then Victor leaves the message. The Credit Bureau of Bessemer gets all their information from their clients so if you have gotten a new phone number in the past year or so, chances are they have the phone number attached with the previous owner. As to getting off their calling list, all you have to do is call the 425-1662 between 8-5 M-F and tell them you got a message to call Victor, (they also use the name Mary as it is a common name) give them your phone number and they will tell you who they are trying to reach. If you don't know the person they are looking for tell them its a wrong number and you don't know who they are looking for to take the number out of their system and they will do it. Simple as that......They also have another department that does background checks and mortgage verifications and so forth so that department could be calling you as well. If you are are not in the collection departments system, ask if you may be in the NAPS(national application processing and screening) department and they will transfer you. Hope this helps.
The Zapper:The Zapper is a utility that use to inaudibly, play the first tone of the "disconnected number" chime/tone, between the time the phone rang and the caller ID would grab information. Most computer systems used for telemarketing would recognize the tone and automatically remove you from the database. This is the only way to remove yourself from a harassing company's database, which this company is no exception, unless you team up with someone who is willing to hack their system. We had insurance when my ex-wife had to take an ER trip to for a diabetic stroke & near coma, but a number and/or card had not been issued yet. The harassment started with their sending a bill to our house and us calling them at the given number and us explaining, giving her the policy number, then arguing with the now rude b*tch, that the bill was covered under the insurance policy. This b*tch had my wife in tears with her profanity and insults. Now the bills have been paid and they will not file the paperwork for this, they are attacking the customer so they'll get paid twice. An age-old tactic that crooked lawyers use to perform when dealing with individual parties & insurance. This is how far behind Bessemer is in the times. Using tactics from the late 80s to try and embezzle money from the citizens. They also call masking the caller ID with 1-000-000-0000 and use their personal phones to call when you've blocked all their numbers, but she who called blocking her ID, just after I blocked all 800, 866, etc., numbers & "Credit Bureau" IDs on my caller ID, gets a call from me 3-4 times a day now. Her name started with an "R"... Rhonda or Ruby (think it was Ruby), who called 4 years ago, when it began, argued with my wife & myself numerous times & refused to stop calling. Since we purchased our new phone and have been able to block ANY* call, she has resorted to using personal phones... nice touch, `cause when we called "Ruby" back, though her bvoice was the same, her nickname is "Spicey"... LMAO!!! nasty-*ss, uncivilized monkey! She will continue to get calls for the next 4 months or maybe longer. She wanted to play phone tag, so I'll *67P1167P+her personal number @ 1am, 3am, 4am, 5am & 6am and of that isn't annoying enough, I will create a batch file on my workstation that dials out 30 times a day at random intervals (between 8pm & 6am) and hangs up after the 2nd ring. Howya like that "Spicey", you d*mned dirty ape?Related numbers to block:866-545-2305615-255-9255865-251-4457(and if the b*tch ape keeps calling, I will post her personal number here as well)
I have had the exact experience with them calling every day whether I answer or not. We had our number changed twice last year because of stupid calls but this time we lucked into someone who has bills everywhere and calls come from everyone. It doesnt matter if you tell them that you are not the Grays, they still call. Very aggrevating and cannot be stopped, at least not yet.
It goes on non- stop. No one speaks on the other end. When I call back they put me on hold for so long I have to hang up. I've noticed that the call is always preceded by another number- 865-684-2144. So, I know that once the 865 no. calls, the 425 number immediately follows. I have a severe disability, so it's difficult to run to the phone all day long. And I have to keep my line open in the event of an emergency. I do not need this aggravation in my life.
This place reported debt, that they previously reported in 2008, to the credit companies again in 2011. This is something underhanded done to keep the debt active on your account. I have heard this is illegal. Anyone want to join in a class action suit? I was also harrassed until I changed my number. I was yelled at by a woman who sounded to be about 60 years old and crabby. I paid everything that I owed the person, but this company added on some hefty fee of over 30% and slapped it on my credit as part of the bill that I previously owed for the service.
I have been getting these calls from 205-425-1662 for a few weeks, but when I would answer the call I got a message asking me to hold, but no one ever came on the line. If I called back, I got some strange music, but no answer or recording, UNTIL today. Today, I got a human. She told me they had a collection from Children's Hospital in Birmingham, from where my son had an x-ray. I said I had never gotten a bill. The bill had been sent to an old address from 12 years ago. I was quiet irate and told her that if I paid the collection company, it would reflect negatively on my credit report and she assured me that no, I had not missed the 30 day deadline. She changed my address and said she would send me a bill. She did not ask for any money today. So I will wait for the bill and then put an update on here. I also plan on calling Children's Hospital in Birmingham.
