I got such a stupid call with a Spanish message today. Too bad, can't understand Spanish... I obviously hang up and I have a clear mind I do not get collection calls... So... clear your heads too...Curiosity could have killed a smart, lively cat... ;-) Folks, it is called t-e-l-e-m-a-r-k-e-t-i-n-g tactics. Phone numbers can be set and turned off by night alone on VoIP (VoiceIP) systems in the internet. They (Telemarketers and money-hungry-egoistical alike folks) set a broadcast machine (mostly automated by software) to call a listing of target phones (randomly or not) and a message is create and attached to such calls to bug your ears, brainwash you into whatever their (mean) business... Don't fall pray for such stupid things...Just hang up and get over it, and further bothersome calls or annoying calls can be next tracked and punished by law. Remember, VoIP systems do have indeed a traceable address, don't think it makes a connection from nowhere... The rope has always two ends... Pull it hard if you want to catch the other end (of story)...Also, dear telemarketers and alike, get a life, it might be not a reasonable way to make a long term, reputable living ripping off whoever or whatsoever that moves or has monies and pipes, lol. You're simply whackos.

Just received a call. It's a spanish recording saying I have a present and to push #1 to hear it. When I didn't it hung up.

My phone identified it as being from Alabama.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone. I didn't answer because it said it was from Alabama and I don't know anybody who lives there or having anything to do with a company doing business there.

I got call from 805-989-8989. I didn't answer. I'm assuming someone is looking into blocking this scam.

I just received a call from this number and sent it to voice mail, but they left no message. Out of curiosity I came here to check it out. Pretty obvious I was not getting a call from a friend in Alabama! lol
