This is definitely a legit Amazon number as the name shows on my caller ID. Also, I called Amazon's customer service for a question and a customer service person in the Philippines answered my call. She could actually get into my Amazon account helping me with placing the order...But my call was cut off for some reason. She immediately called me back, and I noticed only later that this U.S. number she called me back with is from Seattle, WA where Amazon is home based. Perfectly legit and proper to call customers back using a U.S. phone number.
This is a valid phone number . This is Amazon customer service . I called about an order and it is legit .
The same thing happened to me on 12/10/16. On the phone with Amazon sorting out a legitimate dispute and this number called me twice during the call. This is disturbing. Was it a coincidence? How could they know I was on the phone with Anazon? Thanks to others for sharing their experiences.
While the number may be linked to Amazon, the question of spoofing clearly comes in to play since I got a call from "Amazon" at ***2:13 a.m.*** EST. Didn't answer and have checked with Amazon and based on their call logs the rep I conversed with saw no record of any call to me at that time of day (not surprising).
this NOT Amazon customer service, i called Amazon and they confirmed that is not an Amazon number. This number called and couldnt even tell me who i was, they told me i had to give them my info first. DONT give them any info, report any number they call from. Amazon will always call from an 800 number

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
