It REALLY is AMAZON. Don't believe people who tell you otherwise. If you need help, you can get it through text, email or phone. You can have them call back immediately or in five minutes
While this number may be used for spam, the time I was called was on request to the Amazon Customer Service and was legitimate. Before I could speak to a human being, I had to listen to some automated ads that had no relevance, which is annoying.
got a call from this #. first question was what is your name. something seemed hinky so i told them to email me. amazon has that info. no email.was dealing with amazon.ca. on anotherissue anyway so i asked them if this is a # or tactic they would use . they assured me that this was not a # or tactic they would use without an email advising me of a phone call and i was advised to change my password.be wary of any call that needs your info

Claims to be amazon customer service and they do leave a message that it's "about my amazon account", but they the name my home phone is listed under (false name), not my Amazon account name. And I have no orders outstanding. Hmmm.... Not answering. Seems like fraud.

This caller claimed to be a rep from Intuit/QuickBooks & we needed to renew our Subscription for $1899.99. After asking a few questions things sounded strange. Asked her for our PIN # & she did not give the correct number.
Call came in. Hello, hello. No response. Disconnected. Suspect possibly WELLS Fargo (WF) , but no actual idea. Don't trust one moment.
