I got a call on my phone from this number - when I tried to call it back it wouldn't go through
Just got a call from 208-209-6789 (I'm in TX), seems totally bogus just based on these comments but I'm not answering and not calling them back. I'll definitely be checking this page to see if any more notes pop up, this is an Idaho area code
This is crazy...I rcvd a call from this no. just 10 mins back, cld nt get it and had no vm...tried to google this area code and here I am reading all abt it! I am in 469 area code! wonder if we can report it to somewhere.
another...phone numbers can be spoofed now, just so you know. calling back the number is usually useless...
I rec'd a call from this number... it was in spanish and it was definately a call center. The message is "you're a winner" stay on the line and when ask give them you winning number (which they provide to you) long story short the rep tells you that you have just won an online shopping spree and you have access to $3900 dollars to use online only. They further tell you taht you have also won three vactations for 4 people to Orlando, Daytona Beach and Las Vegas...they then ask you for the 7 numbers that are on the reverse side of the VISA credit card you have then they want to scam you into giving them the expiration date along with asking you to confirm your street address; your age; you telephone number listed on the account along and they also tell you they already have your credit card number but they need to match your infomation with the information in the system/their computer that they allege VISA/MASTERCARD provided to them... then they tell you that they are going to transfer you to a manager who needs to confirm all the above information before they mail your prizes... but before confirming to the manager they tell you that you must pay 10% of the total cost of the prize --- WHICH THEY WILL BILL THE CREDIT CARD NUMBER YOU JUST CONFIRMED TO THEM ---- BEWARE AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION AND as SOON AS YOU FINISH WITH THE CALL BE SURE TO CALL YOUR BANK TO REPORT THIS SCHEME...

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
