I, too, just received the same text as Will and Amber above- same sender. WTF? How did this scam get access to my work phone with ability to text? Any responses on how I can report this I appreciate!

I've received txts from this number and the person claimed to be 'BriOrkiba' or 'Bri OrKiba' aka nickname 'Squid' ..?

FRM:376SUBJ: READMSG: U have been offered a-charity amount of 4,800,000 send reference no: CHA7584 to 44bb@dotnet for collection How ridiculous, if your going to try to scam people the least you can do is spell out the word "you". lol Several other grammatical errors as well. Judging from a few other posts I think this may be coming from Craigslist. I responded to an ad last night about a dog through e-mail. I do not recall ever listing my number with that site but they got it somehow.

I got a text message from 800@849.net. The phone number that came up was 1 (210) 100-001. It said that I had a past due balance and that I should follow a suspicious-looking link and sign into my account. This seems to be some sort of phishing scheme.

Yes, that does sound suspicious. I got a similar message from the same source this morning. Guess we can just ignore it :)

I have received two texts from this number. One was for a library book I had requested and the other was for a status update on food delivery. Both were solicited by me.Maybe this number is associated with an SMS service like Twilio?

Its a scam! They just hit me up too
