get calls from number I don't know

THIS CLAIMS TO BE Scarborough Research. KEEPS CALLING MY 15 YEAR OLD SON'S (HAS CEREBRAL PALSY) PRIVATE UNLISTED BED ROOM PHONE. THEY WON'T STOP CALLING, THEY WAKE HIM UP, THEY KEEP CALLING AND CALLING AND NOW HE IS SCARED WHEN THE PHONE RINGS! SOME ONE LET ME KNOW HOW TO MAKE THEM STOP CALLING HIM, I HAVE BEGGED, CUSSED, CRIED AND STILL THEY KEEP CALLING HIM AND WILL NOT TAKE HIS PHONE OFF OF THEIR LIST. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!!!

They needed to verify if I was the right candidate for their survey. Turns out I was not the candidate they were looking for and wanted to speak to someone else in my household. I told them they weren't here and feel that I gave way to much info just saying that. They wanted to know when the person would be back so that they could call again. I said I wasn't comfortable giving out that information and to take this number of their call list. The person informed me that once the survey was completed they would stop calling and take my name out of the databank... and since they were a research firm they did not fall under the same legal stuff as telemarketers. So I just hung up. Their survey, however, was supposed to help certain companies provide services in my area - if that isn't telemarketing -what is it...? Definitely telemarketers have found away around the law by calling themselves "research".

I have asked them to remove my number and get the same response as everyone else. I tried the 800 number listed but only get a recording to leave a message regarding a time for them to call for the survey. I even received a dollar from them in the mail apologizing, but they keep calling.

This place is relentless! I wish they would leave me alone!

These jerks have been calling me ONCE A DAY for a month - as late as 9:30 p.m.! I answered twice (before I knew they were telemarketers) and they're some type of research company. At least one call was about what I watch on TV, what websites I visit, and what radio I listen to. I started the research once but they kept asking the same questions over and over and over again so I just it was getting old and hung up. I asked the operators to remove my number and was told, "Sorry, I can't. I don't have access to that." So annoying!

Seems when one of these bum companies finally stop calling another one starts! I have learned the best thing to do is answer the call and when they start speaking just put the receiver down and let then waste their time. I find this is the best way to handle these people. If they can't talk to you - they can't annoy you or maybe try to sell you something and so eventually they give up!

So annoying! Calling after 8:45pm and asking for me by my first name like its a friend.

We were getting more and more robocalls. It seems that the companies have just stopped paying any attention to the do not call registry (because I think that (like many federal enforcement agencies) they have reduced the staffing to the point where they have almost no effect (like they did with income-tax auditors). Consequently, the robocalling companies make the illegal calls with impunity.We bought a call blocker a couple months ago (ours is a T-Lock Call Blocker we bought on Amazon), and it's made a world of difference. You do get one partial (or possibly one whole ring), then any numbers you've designated to be on the "blacklist" are hung up immediately. Tonight I got a call from 210-736-3080, and the call blocker hung up on them after about a half ring. I guess they thought it was an error by the phone company (or their robo dialer) because they called back about 15 seconds later (and the call blocker hung up on them again). The caller ID identified them as "Scarborough RS".
