Call from 214-283-1316 - Message stated: If you are over 18 press 1, if not press 2, if you want to be put on our do not call list, press 3. I pressed 3. Message said "Try Again". So not sure if it went to the "Do Not Call List" or not.
After looking at the messages on here it is apparent few people have a clue. The DNCL does not work and hasn't or this type of harassment would stop. This is some kind of telemarketer out of my area. Instead of big list of directions on how to stop these calls which is useless; why not list who it is and any other derogatory information you can dig up on their scum sucking invasion of people's privacy. Or..., get one of the good Call-Blocking devices and fight back since none of the major phone company's will help with a world-wide problem that might cause them a lose of a few dollars.
ROBO call (on a Sunday) claiming to be a research company, but is really a SCAM call.Caller ID: Wireless CallingThat is not a legit name for a research company.
Received a call from 214-283-1316 today and caller id showed Wireless Callin. No message was left. When I get calls like this I search the number at www.reversegenie.com and most of the time there will be a pic of where the call was coming from. I searched this number at www.reversegenie.com and I saved the pic, so when I file a complaint I can attach the pic.
I have an idea that will work for not only phone calls but also personal visits and junk mail.If by any means you are able to find their address, I learned a trick from someone involved in the law business that he says will stand up in court, and it hasn't failed me yet. It seems they don't dare test it.Write a letter to them, stating that you don't wish them to initiate further contact with you in any form, US mail, email, telephone or personal visits. If they choose not to respect your wishes, you will have to charge a fee for handling future impositions on your privacy. State a good sized fee, perhaps similar to ignoring the Do Not Call List, which is $500/each call or $1500 if you can prove than they have violated their own DNC callling rules. Plus your state tax, and any legal fees or collection costs. Your offer takes effect immediately on receipt of your letter, and receipt of your letter constitutes acceptance of their terms. In the past, they had to pay someone a couple of bucks to remove your name from the call lists, which they'd rather not spend the money to do. You have suddenly made it much more expensive Not to respect your wishes. (At that price you'll be wishing they Would call again!) You probably wouldn't get as much in court as you ask, but the nuisance and expense of defending a small claims lawsuit, coupled with the fact that they will probably lose and have to pay you Something, in addition to having a judgment on their permanent record, is a deterrent.Since it is the opinion of a legal mind that this would hold up in court, I have yet to have a telemarketer push their luck. They're Gone! These days I'm keeping a log of all calls and will go after the bad ones in small claims court.
