I DIDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE; JUST LOOKED UP THE NUMBER. PUT CALL BLOCK ON IT! SPAMMERS DON'T LEAVE MESSAGES. Called at 8:32PM
Ever since I found out about *78 service none of these calls get through any more. They ring once or twice and then disconnect. And they can't leave a message on my voice mail. And it costs nothing. It's built into my phone line. I am so much happier. No spam, no scams, no liars.
It seems reading through some of these posts no one has truly answered the call and attempted to go through the process to find out who they are and what they want. At least we all seem to agree that we don't want unnecessary phone calls at late hours of the evening or any wrong numbers that we don't have business with in real life. Yes these calls are annoying and sometime in the near future there will be updates to phones that we can buy that will help in processing out these numbers to delete them from future calls. Hopefully those who are scammers will get caught and put behind bars for their robo calls annoying the American public at all hours of the day.
Which means the FCC is going to do NOTHING unless YOU sue the caller. The FCC initiates NO action against these callers, regardless of how many complaints are received.Good luck finding out who the caller actually is.
Called at 3:07 PM Oct 5, 2014. Caller ID listed SURVEY. Machine answered. No message left. I screen all calls and don't answer those I don't know. Calls seem to come in fits and starts. Did not have any calls for 4 days, then here come 2 within a half hour. First area code 214 and next area code 307. Call blocking would not work, since in the last six months, there have been over 65 calls, and only a few have even had the same area code.
