Today they left an answering machine message of the telephone company recording that goes "If you would like to make a call, please hang up and dial again," as if that would trick someone into picking up the hand set to see if it was off the hook. I always check the caller ID display and I let the answering machine take it. If the display shows some rediculous name or an area code that I don't recognize as being from anyone I know, then delete I it. Let's get our lawmakers to do what their paid to do and help us by passing legislation permitting us to legally charge companies for wasting our time. It's our time, and time is money, right?
