The same happened to me n it was my boyfriend. It also had no area code. We thought it was weird. Do you think it could be an app for free calling from the iPhone?
I get this too...recorded message says it is a call for Mark Riggs, and the call is a collection agency...but when I ask to be transferred to customer service, I get a minute or two of music and then am disconnected. Calls come about 10:00 each morning...
My iphone died, plug it in to charge. Turned it back on, it said I had a txt from unknown,I try to add the txter to contacts, the number field is populated with "unknown" I press call from the txt buttons up top, it dials 865-6696And I get an AT&T invalid # msg,I have a AT&T iPhone, 440 area code, never calls fr this number,If your getting this post ur carrier n area code w time of call!We'll figure this out,Hani.
I keep getting calls from this idiot too, and like some of you, it shows up with no area code. I thought it was some chick playing on my phone because she was looking for her Boo, but don't call my phone with that bs. Then I found all this info and it kind of relieved the tension because I was getting really irritated.
LIek the ones above, no area code just the number. At first my phone said unkown, then switched to this number with no area code.
Did you find out anything about 865-6696? This number has been calling me since May 2012. I have an I PHone. I have tried to answer it and no one is on the other end. When I call it back, I get a message saying, Verizon, the number you are trying to reach has been changed or is no longer in service. I get this message even when I call it back immediately after it has called me. What a joke, it is in service because it just called me!
