Receiving calls from (214)-907-2653 and this number belongs to Verizon Wireless National Payment Center in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas. This household is not a customer of Verizon and I asked the representative what was the reason of calling a non-Verizon customer and she told me that an actual customer gave them my number as a back up number. I asked the representative for the name of the customer and she said that she could not disclose that information but wanted to know what form of payment that I would be making. I told the representative thank you and hung up. (214)-907-2653 is now permanently blocked!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

Answered but they hung up as soon as I said hello/our business name. Tried calling back but got a busy signal.

Despite blocking this number on my cell it still rang. Who ever it is hangs up. What could they gain from this?

Called my cell phone and was an automated machine talking saying they are from the US Department of Education. Tried to call back, no answer

This number came up when I answered. A recorded voice said: "Congratulations, you just won a free cruise to the Bahamas." I hung up. I had not received this type of spam call on my cell previously until today. Think it may connected to the same wrongdoers who use the "IRS" scam using the number: 240-762-6347 ("Call back immediately, as it is urgent!"), as I used my cell phone to call these IRS scammers back yesterday, and now they have my land line number and my cell phone. Lucky me!

same as everyone else I have reported the # to various agencies that deal with the do not call list on several occasions but they keep annoying the crap outta me.

Received a call from "Verizon" to pay my bill. SCAM!!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!!I called Verizon to ask what it is about and they said that they do not call to collect on your bill. if you need to pay your bill, your phone will be disconnected and will only dial emergency numbers and the Verizon payment center. This is the only exception.

Called today, didn't answer, left no message. Caller ID: Wireless Caller

Like many others. Phone rings, goes to VM, no message. Scammers. Possibly international, as the caller ID doesn't include the area code, just the exchange (907) and number (2653). I'm wondering if reporting these calls to the FCC, FBI, or anyone else does any good. These folks just generate new "caller id" info every few hours or so, and continue making calls.
