This is Verizon Wireless payment services. You would typically add more time to your account, add auto pay etc....no billing. If you want to have some dull fun, you can mess with them by doing the following:-Call back 214-907-2653.-Select preferred language from prompt.-Chosse selection 2 (add auto pay to your account)-Type in 4 bogus numbers three different times and it will actually take you to a live customer service person.-Do what you will when someone answers. (I chose to remain silent to see what they would say).
And you will get TONS of calls. Don't you read the newspaper, watch the news???? Only answer calls when you personally know the caller. Let the calls go to voice mail. No Message-not important. Curosity killed the cat. All of these numbers are fake--the names are fake--they even use names like American Heart Assn, American Cancer, NRA. You can't call any of these numbers back because they are an outbound call center-meaning they can niot accept incoming calls. Just by answering these calls you are telling the COMPUTER that it called a valid working number. Calling back tells the computer that it has contacted a SUCKER that is interested in the scam. Blocking all of these fake numbers is a waste because they have hundreds of thousands of fake numbers that they use. We have Charter and the phone rings twice period. The number even shows up on our TV. If it is an emergency it will be on voice mail. The IRS does not call-it sends letters. You didn't win a cruise unless YOU entered the contest.
Don't get excited-- Let it go to voice mail. No voice mail then it was not important. Do not call only applies to good honest big businesses. The do not call list must be purchased-one from EVERY STATE and the federal list--WHO IS GOING TO BUY THESE LISTS????????????????never answer a call from some one you do not personally know. eVEN LEGITIMATE LOOKING NAMES ARE FRAUD. iF YOU WANT TO DONATE TO A CHARITY-you call them.gIVE NO INFO ON THE PHONE.. NO- YOU DID NOT WIN A CRUISE-THEY ONLY WANT YOUR PERSONAL INFO TO CLEAN OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. If you did not enter a contest then you did not win. YOU NEVER PAY MONEY TO WIN SOMETHING.-NEVER SEND MONEY TO ANYBODY.
You caused your own problem-------Once you answer one of these calls you told the computer that it has dialed a valid working phone number and when you tried to call the outbound call centers computer you told the computer that you are a sucker and are interested in their scam.. These calls are generated from computers that start from number one in a area code and keep calling until they get answere. There is always a moment of silence after you answer these calls as the computer identifies a voice and tells a live person that a "sucker" is on the line. If you don't know the caller--don't answer--if it is important there will be a voice mail message. Not long ago a elderly lady answered one of these calls and thought at first it was a relative because the id said "New York" and she knew someone in NY. When she answered "YES" to one of the questions it codt her $6000.00 for a security system. She tried to get her money back, but the judge said she answered "YES" to many of the questions and provided person
Once you answer a robo call you have told the computer that you have a working number . If you try to call back yoou will never get through because it is a OUTBOUND CALL CENTER--meaning that calls from that center only make calls and do not acceppt incoming calls. Talking to them even to the computer, alerts the computer that it has called a sucker that is interested in the scam and you will continue to get MANY MORE calls from hundreds of differant phone numbers. Don't get excited--if it is a legitmate call they will leave a message. The do not call list does not apply to scammers.
Recieved a call from 214-907-2653 they did not leave a message when I called it back it goes straight to a voicemail. Tried a second time and it is a fast busy signal.
Keep answering and trying to call back. Thats what they want--THEY FOUND A SUCKER. Let it go to voice mail--no message-no emergency. The more you answer, the computer that called you records how many calls you answered and will continue to call because it verified a working phone number. Blocking does not do anything as they have hundreds of thousands of numbers that they keep changing. N E V E R C A L L B A C K. This tells the computer that you TRIED to call back and you are interested in getting scammed and losing your bank account. You did not win a free cruise if you did not enter, sweepstakes are free and require no payment for taxes, etc.
Do you know who called???? NEVER ANSWER IF YOU DON'T PERSONALLY KNOW THE CALLER. First-answering the phione tells the robo call computer that it just called a working phone number-and if you try to call an outbound call center-meaning that only calls from this center can call you-the computer again records your phone number as a "sucker" that is interested. They count on people wanting to know who and why they got a call. You just set yourself up for a lot of robo calls. Thats what voice mail is for. If there is no message that is also one of their tricks-they wnt you to TRY to call back. WATCH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AND CREDIT CARDS.
