Third call from 214-907-2653 in last several days. I don't answer calls I don't recognize! They are persistent.

I find some of the remarks posted about these ‘faux telemarketer calls’ amusing. I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these annoyance calls since 2012. Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls. Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on. Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls. If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action. If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously. If you really want to block them – there is reasonably priced software that a layman can install. Of the 380 calls I’ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months. So the message is simple – blocking works….PS: I think Call Notes should add a 'Call Type' for 'Spoof' or 'Scammer Calls'!

Robot call advises Helmuth to stay on the line, take a quick survey, then collect two cruise tickets. Helmuth declines.

Just got a call on my cell from this number. Recorded voice said "Congratulations you've just won a cruise" - I immediately hung up and blocked.

I got a call this morning Dec. 24 and was unabble to answer on time that when I called back the number was disconnected. So I call back to make sure I had dial correctly and still number was disconnected.

Called cell. Rang twice but left no message. Another scammer.

People seem to be getting different responses if they can get user of number to p/u and speak; that is more than odd. They are robo calling cells phones & phones on the DNC List. All these activities are illegal and indicates more than just a scam or alleged Verizon collections. Report them to the GOV Nationally and Locally. Enough people create enough proverbial paper trail they will shut down out of self protection and burn their number as well put heat on the scheme they are running. These types depend on peoples apathy to such criminal activities and underhanded practices. So do the right thing and file reports over the internet or by phone. Also eventually with enough stink they will be enough money put to shutting down such criminals. They prey upon the old and gullible as well intimidate them.Also they might be trying to tap your mess with your phone; we use to be able to turn you landlines into microphones by calling and hanging up before the person could answer in the 70's and 80's. No telling what they can do now and what these types are upto now! Yes I know what we have been told they can do with out cells under so called investigative reporting and leaks; while interesting, they are often purposefully done by the people who can do such to give us a false sense of fear and then we us inadequate security measures out of the principle of lost privacy if we have anything to hide or not.We are loosing by proxy of apathy the 4th Amendment which our personal stuff and information is secure from unreasonable searches and seizures etc.... It is not just we need to fear; but multinational corporations whom often are more powerful than many nations and even in the US we saw the to big to fail policy where corporate crimes are paid for by people and the crook are not held accountable. The little people get not only prosecuted; but persecuted while fat cats and big wigs rape and pillage like the Kings Men and common thugs!

Look this is a scam, we all know this! Now what? Oh hangup, ignore etc.... Why would criminals stop with such risk and why would Law Enforcement or Elected Officials do something about this since no one seems to care enough to complain. Screw the special software and phones that block such (good idea though; till we reign these activities in) and do what is free and morally your responsibility as a citizen; which is complain properly!Look at what "Jax Tellers" comment. He has right idea; but not far enough! Report to Law Enforcement Locally, State and Federally. Also email or call your Elected Officials in the State and Federally and complain. The squeaky wheel gets the grease which the grease is the money to enforce the laws as well teeth in the laws that take a bite out of these crooks. If this was not a profitable scheming scam they would not be doing it, so people are being harmed and often the most vulnerable.Our Civic Duty does not stop at the voting booth; sadly many can not do even that much either! Well one positive over these burdensome parasites whom do nothing by reap the benefits of living in the US; is your vote and complaints properly made gives you that much more influence than the lazy good for nothing people with American Citizenship who do nothing to own it and just reap the privileges. We are losing so many rights slowly and we are being conditioned to accept such as normal and proper when it is not and violates why this country was was created and brave men died to fight off tyranny violating peoples personhood, property, and personal affairs along with unfair treatment based on a class systems and the right of Kings rule over society with a iron fist of fear.These types of criminal activities is a threat to you and not the ruling class; unless we complain and report, nothing will stop the increasing of such criminal enterprises! Stop being a frog in the pot as they turn the heat up so you do not realize you are being boiled alive by common criminals, sophisticated criminals in suits who hide behind incorporations and the to big to fail corporations along with governmental abuses of which the majority of government overreach and apathy to criminal behaviors is designed by corporate lobbyist who pay for such laws to be passed by political donations of which people do not realize become the property of the candidate often and they use it for personal use and to gain more power to self enrich and abuse us, all at our expense!

Answered a call from this number. Take a survey to win a cruise for 2. So I took the bait. Asked a few questions, then asked if I had insurance or Obamacare. I hung up after that one.
