IT IS A PAYPHONE, AND IT CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE. MY GIRL'S CAR BROKE DOWN (WE ARE IN MICHIGAN) AND I GOT A CALL FROM THIS TEXAS NUMBER ... SHE CALLED AND I DID NOT PICK UP. I GOT IN TROUBLE.PICK UP THE PHONE IF SOMEONE CALLS YOU FROM THIS NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have gotten a few calls from this number. A recording for a collect call. There is just silence when someone is supposed to say their name. I will not accept a collect call from someone that can't speak. Scam of some sort.

Same thing, got a call from this number (214-969-5489) and when I answered it nobody was on the line. It could be a central routing number for pay phones or pre-paid calling cards. When I tried to call it back I got the busy signal also. The number can not be called back. Call your phone company to see if they can track down the number, thats their job.

My son called me from this number it is a payphone in Louisville Kentucky

This is a payphone at the work release center where my brother is in Pensacola, FL. He calls me from it every other day.

It's a prepaid calling card often used by collection agencies like Collectcorp and other obscene callers who hide behind it.

My BF is a trucker also and he called from a payphone in Oregon....so the answer is it's a payphone from anywhere USA!

my husband recieved a collect call from this number, from a friend who has been missing for a few days. two days ago he called from Chicago. We arn't sure where he really is since I've read all of these blogs. The only thing in common that I can come up with is it's a pay phone, somewhere.

My so called boyfriend called me from a number in Michigan when he was with another women, it is a pay phone. I called it back to. BUSY forever then just rings.

i recieved a call from an x-gf who i have been fighting with.it was a collect call she says "please help me".the operator then asks to press 1 to accept the charges.so i do i get disconected.I called 911 find out its a hoax!!!!!!!!!!!
