This number belongs to a pay phone in the Inman/Spartanburg SC area

I received 3 calls on my cell phone from phone number 1-214-969-5489. I live in Louisiana it was a collect call I heard someone say hey. Since I can't accept collect calls on my cell phone they asked for my credit card I just hung up all 3 times.

At 1 AM last night the collect call came and the rascal wouldn't give a name the first 2 requests. The 3rd time, the rascal mumbled so you couldn't recognize the voice. Nothing like'em and they abound. May they stew in their own soup.

That is exactly what it is...a generic payphone number that can show up anywhere in the united states...i have gotten the call several times from an unwanted ex who hides his number by using this number and I'm in Portland.

Receive many calls from 214-969-5489. All say ILD COMM. Some are collect calls. We never pick up the calls. Interesting that other posts re: this # are from 2 years ago!!

It's definitely a pay phone company trunk line. My husband just called me from it and he was at a gas station in San Bernardino CA only a couple of miles from our home. He had left his cell phone at home and had to tell me to call a friend of his.

Hmmm I say someone needs to call the phone company in Dallas. I received a call saying they were the IRS and they needed my credit card information to receive a collect call for my brother. These scammers are getting good!!!

I got a collect call from this number but when I tried to say yes it wanted a credit card #- I could hear my son stating his name...It shows up as coming out of Dallas Texas. I read many of these posts and hope it is not a correctional facility,

i just rec call from a shelter in the bronx,this was the # they called from.

My boyfriend just called me from this number and he is at a pay phone in S. El Monte, Ca.
