it seems that its a contracted number in many states, for pay phones that is. Although 214 might be strictly dallas texas, if its a payphone then it can be anywhere. Supposedly just a generic number...

I am getting disgusting phone calls from the number, sounds like a female. At first it was busy and than I kept calling and it just rang off the hook. I think it came from someone in North Hollywood California. Who ever is responsible for this pay phone number needs to provide more information on where these phones are located. It's bull that in this day and age with all the technology we can't pin point which pay phone it is. And 411, 611, and the operator doesnt help. But who ever it is thats making the calls "Kiss my A@@!"

Not trippin'. It is just so sad for many of us b/c the calls are supposedly from people loved, missing, drug/alcohol abusers, mentally ill, troubled, etc.... I suppose, we just want to know where are loved ones are. Obviously it is from a 3rd party payphone service that connects calls & so....... we will never know where they really are!

I got a call from this number telling me it was a collect call from my sister and I needed to give a credit card to be able to speak to her, but I did not have one available. My sister lives in Seattle, WA. This had me worried all night becuase I do't know if she called me from a pay phone is Seattle or Texas.

Called me 3 times yesterday - no message. Just called back and it rang about 20 times, no answering machine or anything. Finally gave up. Know a few people in Dallas but odd that they wouldn't leave me a message. The whole thing is kind of mysterious.

I noticed a call with this number from Texas and I didnt answer since I dont know anyone in Texas. It was a voicemail message from my boyfriend who apparently missed his flight and was stuck in Miami. But since the # said it was from Texas, I didnt believe him so I did a reverse phone look-up and paid $15.00 for a specific search. Well, I felt stupid when I realized what it really was. It was a phone company ILD Communications. He was calling from a pay phone. That is the first and the last time I try to be investigator.
