I had our IT department set up a generic extension that goes straight to a voicemail that is assigned to no one. It just says "you have reached extension xxx, please leave a message". I just send all of the telemarketers there. If they call back asking for a persons name, I just say "hold on" and send them right back to the telemarketer extension. They know they have been blown-off, but no argument has to take place.

TNS called for our "finance" department.

Called me twice this weekend, reported to DNC list for violation x 2. If you call the number you get only a recording.

I have Vonage and I am going to go on my prtal (settings) and block their calls!

Chris Stevenson from TNS wanted the CFO (specified person who is no longer with the firm). He claimed that they call annually about banking evaluation services and denied introducing his organization. The Finance Department Secretary suggested that he speak with another person, who is out of the office today. I offered to take a message, but Mr. S. said that he is on the phone most of the time and cannot be reached, so he would try back next week. Researched the number on Caller ID and found this litany of complaints. If and when he returns, I will cite the company policy that surveys must be submitted in writing and provide the mailing address.

reallyruby obviously works for this firm! I'm on the national do not call list. When I tell them this they hang up. Doesn't stop them from calling again and again though!
