This is happening over and over with the same 216 area code. I am on the Do Not Call List as well, but I have complained many times and this scam crap still seems to be going on!
Called my cell phone nnumber (which I do not give out so it was probably an automated robocall). Violated Do Not Call registration. Left no message when I didn't answer.
Broke my rule of not answering calls from numbers I don't recognize, because my daughter was here and insisted I answer it. If a call is that important, a message can be left. Anyhow, it was 'Rachel from Cardholder Services'....added the number to my cellphone address book and assigned it a MUTE 'ringtone', so that I will never be bothered with answering a call from it again. Problem solved. Bye bye telemarketer....
I got this call on my cell and didn't answer it. If it's someone wanting to "lower my interest rate" they are wasting their time. I'm debt free.
It's time for the FCC to find out who these people are and get to the bottom of this. Set-up a sting--do something. These people are out to steal information and something tells me they aren't in the U.S., just have a number that it registered here.
