They have called NUMEROUS times on my Home number in the past 2 weeks. They hung up on me when I DID "press 1" to talk to them. The recording says they want to lower interst rates on credit cards. SCAMMERS!! ANd - I am on the NO CALL list!! Now - Just now - they called my cell phone. I AM EXTREMELY ticked off - & want someone to SHUT THEM DOWN!!
Just got a call as well..... Called my bank and reported it as a scam so they are looking into it as well.. I also reported to the Dont call list.
I just got a call from them on my cell phone. Pressing '1' to speak to someone leads to the call being disconnected. Trying to call them back gives me the message that they "aren't accepting calls at this time." Shocker!Definitely register a complaint. Even if you're NOT on the Do Not Call list, the fact that they are using a pre-recorded message is a violation.
Wanted to know who was on the other end of this recording, so after listening to the pre-recorded message, I followed the instructions and pressed #1 to speak to a live operator about lowering the rate on my credit card. When I asked her the name of her company, she would only say Account Services. I tried to question her further, but the only thing she would tell me was that they help consumers lower their interest rates on visas and mastercards. She kept answering every question with "Did you press one to lower your interest rate?". I finally said yes. Then I told her to remove my number from her list and she hung up on me. Thank goodness for the block caller feature on my cell phone! Now I never have to be bothered with these a-holes again!
Folks, please pay attention, the DO NOT CALL LIST, means absolutely nothing to these people, and they're NOT governed by it as even though they are using domestic VoIP numbers to call you, their origin is in either India, Nigeria, Costa Rica, or Panama usually. So again, DO NOT CALL LIST means nothing for these types of calls and also as I'm sure many have guessed, these are illegal scams, none of this is kosher.
I have recieved three calles when you try to call and see who it is the number is no longer accepting calls or has been disconnected
