I just got a call from this # & woman would not tell me who she was but wanted my personal info! Each time I asked who was calling she asked for diff info so I hung up. Ive read the posts and who is capital one? I have no credit card or other debt.
They *are* bottom feeders. They're as aggressive and nasty as the worst Buffalo collection agency. My husband used to practice law and he hated them. They won't work with you -- don't let the shills on here kid you -- and they will skate on the thinnest ice to get your money. Go to legal aid for help if you can't afford an attorney. You do not want to deal with these jerks on your own.
I have been receiving these calls for close to 2 years. They ask for a person I don't know - never heard of. Plus they somehow got my cell number which is what they call on. I block them via Verizon but then they change the calling number. Last summer I answered the call and told the gal I don't know the person & to please stop calling. She said she would make a note of it. Just got another call from them. GR-R-R-R-R!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got a call this AM. Said she was looking for someone I don't know and told her so. Five minutes later she called my cell phone again, but she hung up when I answered.
The number is used as a debt collection agency. They are reporting as part of a law firm set to collect debts.They called me on a Saturday AM around 8:30AM and then again at 9:00AM.They use some questionable practices, sich as when they asked my wife for MY Social and/or date of birth to verify my validity.RGR
