i to have had this number call my mobile and its obviously a scam other wise they would just leave you a voice mail like any other real caller but in the last 3months i am receiving around between 2 and 5 scam calls a day and i have answered afew of them and now logged there numbers in my phone as they say things like i believe you were recently in a accident or you recently took out a loan or i just bought a car all which are untrue and annoying that they got my number then hound me with rubbish as if i was stupid and i no as any one else does how to claim insurance,get a loan or any of the above and more and capable to get help with these if needed as if any one would trust these people there has to be a catch even if they were legitimate they would make in the end on your money or injuries and my guess they probably make more than the usual company a person would make there own claims through,so i will never answer to them they are infuriatingly annoying.
Just got a call from this number, complete silence for 5 seconds after I said Hello, then just hung up.Weirrrrdddd....Only answered call due to expecting an important call today.
Had three calls from this number. Last one (automated) asked me to press 5 to receive my refund, which i did not do, but stupidly returned call asking who was calling me? What steps should I take now to prevent them using my number for their scam?

When you answer the phone they hang up. They are trying to see if the number is actually associated with a person or not. Most likely they will clone the number.
