Yup, came up "Julie Goodman" on my caller ID. They called twice today. Early in the AM and late in the day. No message. SPAM caller.
This number called twice. The name on caller ID was julie goodman. The caller, a male kept insisting that we had viruses on our pc. I kept telling him that we do not have a pc. We kept going back and forth and then he hung up. Definitely a spam or some type of fraud.
Called my landline and told me I had dangerous viruses on my computer. He'd help me get rid of them if I'd push the Windows key and R. I played dumb and he said mam you need to be in front of your computer. Total scam. Don't answer any calls from "Julie Goodman."
Did not recognize "Julie Goodman" and 260-637-5109 on caller ID so let it go to the answering machine. They did not leave a message and just hung up. Called back 2 more times in next couple hours and didn't leave messages then either. Glad I googled the name and number to find info above that this is another scam call
Scam told me my computer was sending them messages because it was compromised that there is stuff on the hard drive which is the main part of the computer. Then guided me to my computer, at which point I mentioned the screen was black which they said oh a screen saver and told me to find the control key, once I did that they said what is next to it, I said option at which point they correctly deduced I had a mac and told me to open safari to www.support.me. I didn't ask for name/etc. but decided to not open the website. googling for www.support.me does seem to indicate it is a scam.
Caller ID said Julie Goodman. I have been advised of my information being hacked by numerous sites. I think these people have the hacked info and are phishing to add as many missing details as they can to make the most out of stealing my identity. It's best to not even answer the call.
SCAM!!! They didn't tell me what company they were with and started out by saying my computer was infected. They wanted me to get on my computer so they could direct me to a website to 'show' me the infection. HELLO. I feel bad for the people who will fall victim to these callers. :(
