Received a call from this number at 10pm PST, no message... seeing that it was a Pennsylvania area code and it being 1am EST, I figured if it was important, they'd leave a message, which they didn't. Thanks for the info, folks!
9:51 a.m. 4/2/15 I had to answer as a member of the family is ill and sleepng - this was a recorded message about a free cruise if I take a survey - I hit zero repeatedly until the system hung up on me, and I have blocked the number. I will classify this as Telemarketer, but suspect Scammer.
8/12/15 - 267.634.2192I'll chime in too. Just got a call from this number. We didn't pick up as the call only shows "Pennsylvania" on the CID. They didn't leave a message - which is, of course, the big red flag for suspicious. Probably telemarketers or marketing/research spammers.
I also received a call from 267-634-2192 that I did not answer. Caller ID said Wireless Caller. It went to voice mail, but they didn't leave one. The only calls I get from the 267 area code are the free cruise ones, so I never bother to answer, I just add it to the blocked list. Funny how people report one number is from a) free cruise, b) student loan scam, c) Verizon, d) collections, etc....
Although I don't answer the call, I also have a All-In-One Call Blocker. I don't have time for multiple calls from he same number during the day. Since I bought this device, One push of a button and tada, no more bthersome phone calls from this or any other number I don't recognize.
I too, received a call from this number and checked here to see it's status. Anymore, if 800notes comes up in a google search, I'm just as likely to add the number to my reject list without even looking for more detail. To all those who think these calls must be picked up to gather information, the facts are that information is being gathered on you. A lot of these calls are just placed to see 1) if the line answers, meaning it's a good number, 2) if any non-computer noises are detected (e.g., "Hello?" "WTF?", "WHO ARE YOU?", breathing, shuffling, anything that would indicate human activity), meaning there's a person at the number. If so, the number is targeted for more calls. If you don't know the number, don't pick up. And NEVER, NEVER, press "2" to unsubscribe, or call the number back or anything -- that too just verifies you're real. Any important caller will leave a message or contact you on a different medium.
