called again today, i tried to report them however they can not take a report with the name of the company or someones name i am getting really pissed off here
Try this = 800-260-3472 = Abraham Rice – Manager, Universal Fidelty CorporationToday’s Date: July 8, 2008Last month, I finally answered the phone (281-647-4152 = UNLV FIDLTY CORP) to see why they keep calling and don’t leave a message. I demanded to speak to a manager (Abraham Rice) and told him I was receiving calls on my phone for over a month and wanted it to stop. He asked me if I was Earleen and I said “NO!!! and there’s no one here by that name and to remove my number from their list!!!!!”.— he said he would. He informed me that she (Earleen) is delinquent in paying for a woman’s magazine subscription.Well the calls stopped … for about a month … and now I started receiving calls again. I googled the company’s name and got an 800 toll free number to call back. I again demanded to speak to a manager and guess who I was connected to. Yup ~ it was Abraham Rice, again. So I got into it again and told him he said he would remove my number from their list and I’m still receiving calls. He said he’ll remove our phone number again but as long as Earleen continues to use our number, we will continue to receive unwanted calls. I asked Abraham for Earleen’s last name so I could look in our local phonebook to see if she’s listed but Abraham said because of the privacy law, he was allowed only to give me her first name.Yes, it is a collection agency, Universal Fidelty Corp. What’s soooooo maddening is I pay all my credit cards in FULL – zero balances. If anyone out there, or Earleen if you’re reading this, how about paying your dang bill !!!!!!!!! instead of using my phone number. Mahalo!
Called my cell phone and demanded that I pay off a loan I never had. Were very rude. Asked for my credit card number.
"Mike" called the people who recently bought my house (must have used a reverse directory) and told them they had a "suit" against me, and they should call me and have me call them!!!! Talk about "defamantion of character"!!!......I am FURIOUS!!! Even IF I did owe them some money, which I don't, they have NO right to tell other people about it....THAT IS THE LAW! I am reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission.....I'm sure it will not be the first complaint!!
Is this a legit company? They called, asked for me to call back. No answer...it just rings.
You're an idiot. They're calling because you owe them money and as long as they're not talking to anyone or leaving messages, they can call you 10x a day. No, I'm not acting "high on my horse" because they're calling me too - or I wouldn't have a concern for this phone number...but it cracks me up to see people complain about someone calling them because they owe money. Duh. I just wanted to see which creditor it was, calling me.
Recorded message stating not a telemarketer (did not identify type of company).... please return the call to 281.647.4152
This is a credit agency hired by a company that you have a delinquent account with. It's UC Fidelity (I think??) I have an account that was not delinquent because I had been making 2 payments every month to the company, but they still hired the company. If you don't return the calls, then they will report your account the the credit bureau, so I would at least call them and find out more about your account. For me, it actually turned out to be a good thing becasue I was able to make an arrangement where if I sceduled payments with them, they would take off 30% of my total, which inmy case knocked off about $150.
This number calls me 3-4 times a day and only leaves a message to call back and that it is not a telemarketer. I called back and got a recording that was cut off? It's very annoying and I wish they would stop. I guess I'm gonna have to call my service provider and put a block on my phone.!
